Docyt AI-native ERP
The AI-native ERP with a zero-day close
Docyt is a fully agentic accounting system. Our AI agents, purpose-built for accounting, collect documents, post revenue, code spend, reconcile accounts, and close the books daily, all within guardrails your controller sets. You just review the exceptions. Your books are always current. The result is real-time bookkeeping: automated bookkeeping and accounting automation software that keeps the books current every day, not once a month.
How Docyt works
How Docyt works: from source systems to closed books
Four steps, running every day for every property.
- Connect. Docyt reads your PMS, POS, bank feeds, payroll and merchant processors, and captures bills and receipts by email and mobile.
- Post. AI agents post night audit revenue, code spend to the right department and account, and record payroll and deposits as they land.
- Reconcile. Every deposit, card batch, OTA payout and bank transaction is matched daily, with exceptions routed to a person.
- Close and report. The books are already reconciled when the month ends, so the daily flash, USALI statements and owner reports come straight off the ledger.
Why AI-native
Legacy ERPs record.
Docyt does the work.
Legacy ERP systems were built for people to key data into. Adding an AI assistant on top of that doesn't change the underlying work: your team still keys data, chases down discrepancies, and reconciles accounts. Docyt takes a different approach. Our agents perform the accounting itself, the ledger becomes the output of that work, and your team's role shifts to oversight and governance.
| Capability | Legacy ERP + AI assistant | Docyt AI-native ERP |
|---|---|---|
| Who posts the entries | Your accountants, with suggestions | Docyt agents, with confidence scores and explanations |
| Reconciliation cadence | Monthly, by hand | Continuous, daily |
| Month-end close | 15 to 25 days | Zero-day close, exception review only |
| Revenue from PMS and POS | Manual import or custom integration | Native nightly ingestion, mapped to USALI |
| Spend control | Separate AP and card tools | Bill Pay and Corporate Cards inside the ledger, with budgets |
| BI and forecasting | Exports into a separate BI tool | Built on reconciled actuals in the same system |
| Audit trail | Who changed what | Why every entry was made, with the source document attached |
Zero-day close with Docyt
How the close disappears.
Every step of a traditional close is already done by the time the month ends.
Every night: revenue posts
Docyt's Revenue Agent pulls the night audit and POS reports, maps revenue centers, and posts revenue, tax, deposit and ledger movements.
Every day: accounts reconcile
Docyt's Reconciliation Agent matches bank, card and merchant activity to feeds and statements, clearing transfers and timing differences.
As they arrive: documents attach
Docyt's Document Matching agents collect invoices, receipts, and statements, match them to the right transactions, and code each one with a clear explanation.
At month-end: review exceptions
Docyt's Month-End Close Agent posts accruals, prepaids, payroll and intercompany entries and hands your reviewer a short list. Sign off, publish, done.
The agents
Sixteen agents. One accounting department on autopilot.
Each agent owns an outcome end to end. Together they cover money out, money in, the ledger, the close, documents, quality, insights and onboarding.
Invoice Agent
Reads every bill that arrives by email, upload or vendor portal, extracts the line items, codes them to the right account, department and entity, flags duplicates and double payments, and routes approvals.
Vendor Agent
Identifies the vendor on every document against your vendor list and the 500K+ vendor Docyt Business Network, learns how you code each vendor, and keeps W-9 and 1099 data ready.
Receipt Agent
Collects receipts from cardholders by text and app, pairs them to Corporate Card transactions, codes the spend by cardholder and department, and checks it against budget and policy.
Revenue Reconciliation Agent
Pulls the night audit, POS and payroll reports from your systems every night, maps every revenue center and payment type to USALI, posts the entries, and explains any day that does not balance.
Revenue Leakage Agent
Matches what you sold to what landed: merchant settlements, cash deposits, OTA and virtual card payouts. Flags short deposits, unposted chargebacks, folio exceptions and commission variances while they are still recoverable.
Categorization Agent
Auto-Categorize by Docyt AI codes every bank and card transaction with an explanation, learns your portfolio's patterns and rules, and only posts what it is sure of. The rest goes to a reviewer.
Bank Statement Agent
Reads every bank and card statement line by line, compares it to the feed, finds missing and duplicate transactions, and proves the ending balance.
Reconciliation Agent
Matches ledger activity to bank and card lines every day, clears transfers and timing differences, and soft-closes each account daily with an exception summary.
Document Collection Agent
Requests missing invoices, statements and receipts from vendors, banks and your team through branded portals and reminders, and files everything in the Vault tied to the ledger entry.
Document Matching Agent
Matches invoices, receipts and statements to transactions, one to one or many to one, so every entry carries its support.
Month-End Close Agent
Runs the month-end task list from plain-English instructions: accruals, prepaids, depreciation, payroll and intercompany entries, drafts journal entries from attached documents, and hands your reviewer a short exception list.
Quality of Books Agent
Scans the P&L and balance sheet for anomalies, variances against budget, forecast and last year, miscodings and unusual balances, and explains each finding in plain language.
Payroll and Labor Agent
Turns payroll registers from ADP, Paychex, Paycom, UKG and others into journal entries, allocates labor by department and property, and tracks labor cost per occupied room daily.
GARY, the reporting agent
Writes custom reports from a plain-English request, proves they tie to the P&L, powers AI Insights, and explains any number that looks wrong for a date range.
Forecast Agent
Fits budget and forecast drivers from your own actuals, builds multi-scenario budgets and rolling revenue forecasts from pace and pickup, and never overwrites a number a human entered.
Migration Agent
Maps your existing chart of accounts and departments to Docyt, brings historical books over year by year with documents attached, and validates opening balances.
Guardrails
Agents work inside the policies your controller sets.
Autonomy without control is a liability. Docyt gives your finance team the levers: who approves what, which accounts an agent may post to, what confidence it needs before it acts, and what always goes to a human.
- Approval workflows by amount, vendor, department and entity
- Confidence thresholds per workflow, adjustable by your team
- Segregation of duties and role-based access
- Immutable audit log with the reason and evidence behind every entry
- Materiality rules for what gets escalated at close

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI-native ERP?
An ERP where the AI is the system, not a feature bolted onto a legacy ledger. In Docyt, agents read the source documents and feeds, post the entries, reconcile the accounts and run the close. Humans review exceptions and set policy. Legacy ERPs with an AI assistant still need people to key in and reconcile everything.
What does zero-day close mean?
Docyt reconciles continuously, so month-end adds zero days of catch-up work. Revenue is posted nightly, bank and card accounts are reconciled daily, and accruals, payroll and intercompany entries are posted on schedule. When the month ends, your reviewer works a short exception list and the books are ready. It does not mean the books are final at midnight on the first; it means the close is already done.
Is Docyt a general ledger, or does it sit on QuickBooks?
Docyt's AI-native ERP includes its own multi-entity general ledger. Customers who want to keep QuickBooks Online or another GL for statutory reporting can sync to it; Docyt remains the system that does the work.
How accurate is the AI?
Docyt uses deterministic precision models for coding, matching and reconciliation: the same inputs produce the same books every time, with a confidence score and explanation on each entry. Anything below the confidence bar goes to a human reviewer. See the HpAI architecture page for how that works.
Does Docyt replace my accounting team?
Docyt replaces the keying, chasing and reconciling. Your controller and accountants move to review, analysis and decisions. Many customers also use Docyt's outcome-based service, where Docyt's accounting team reviews exceptions and delivers audit-ready books.
What does it integrate with?
Property management systems (OPERA, OnQ, FSPMS, LightSpeed, choiceADVANTAGE, SynXis, Cloudbeds, Mews and many more), POS systems, payroll providers, 20,000+ banks and card programs, and general ledgers such as QuickBooks Online. See the integrations page for the full list.
