Connect Docyt to your AI assistant
Ask ChatGPT, Claude or Muse about your businesses in plain language: financial reports, KPIs, transactions and statement status, without opening Docyt.

Connect
You do this once. The connection stays active until you disconnect it.
Find Docyt
In your assistant, open the connectors or plugins directory, find Docyt and choose Connect.
Sign in
Sign in with your Docyt email and password.
Approve
Review what the assistant will be able to see, then choose Approve.
Ask
Back in your assistant, start a new chat and ask. For example: “Show the P&L for Hampton Inn Richmond for August.”

If you manage several businesses, name the one you mean. Portfolio-level questions work when your account has portfolio access.

What the assistant can and can’t do
What the assistant can see
- The businesses your Docyt account can access
- Financial reports: Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, operating statements and other reports available to you
- KPIs and metrics from Insights (for hospitality businesses: occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and related statistics)
- Portfolio summaries, if you have portfolio access
- Bank transactions: totals by vendor, searches, and what’s verified or waiting for review
- Bank statement status and coverage
It sees only what your Docyt account already sees. Never your password, bank logins or underlying documents.
What it can’t do
- Categorize, verify or edit a transaction
- Upload a statement, invoice or receipt
- Change a vendor, category or department
- Run a month-end close, sign off a report, or change any setting
Do those in Docyt. The assistant will tell you when something needs your attention and where to go.
About the numbers
Reports and KPIs reflect what’s in Docyt at the time you ask. If a report is still being refreshed, or transactions for the period are still under review, the assistant should say the figures may not be final.
For vendor totals, the assistant uses Docyt’s own totals rather than adding up a partial list.
Disconnect or reconnect
- From Docyt: Settings, then MCP Access, then remove the assistant.
- From your assistant: remove Docyt from its connectors.
- Either one ends the access. To reconnect, repeat the steps under Connect.
- If you reset your Docyt password, connected assistants may be signed out. Reconnect if your assistant says it can’t reach Docyt.
Privacy and security
Your assistant receives only the data needed to answer what you ask. Docyt does not share your books with the assistant provider outside of your questions. Access is scoped to your own account and can be revoked at any time. See the privacy notice, terms and security overview.
Troubleshooting

| “I can’t access Docyt” | The connection may have expired or been removed. Reconnect. |
| The assistant can’t find a business | Use the business name as it appears in Docyt. If you have many businesses, be specific. |
| KPIs aren’t available for a business | KPIs are available for businesses set up with Insights (for example hospitality properties). Reports and transactions work for every business. |
| A report says it isn’t fresh | Docyt is refreshing it. Ask again in a few minutes, or open the report in Docyt. |
| Docyt isn’t responding at all | Check the service status page. |
